Simon Daniel Eiriksson

After more than a decade working with health data in Denmark, I returned to university a few years ago to explore my long-standing interest in machine learning and mathematical modelling. I’m currently writing my thesis on Stochastic Differential Equations for generative modelling at the Technical Univerity of Denmark (DTU). On this site, I plan to share my academic journey, research interests, and thoughts on data, uncertainty, and perhaps a bit on the intersection of public health and machine learning.

My theoretical interests centres around probabilistic machine learning, Bayesian inference and generative modeling. I also have a thing for temporal data and time series.

Before I began my master’s at DTU, I had a small one-man company named Eiriksson Consulting Aps, through which I helped a few public sector customers with health data analysis, ETL and the like. I have closed it for now, but it might be revived if necessity comes.

Even before that, I was trained in anthropology from University of Copenhagen, and a few eons ago, I recieved my bachelor in mathematics from University of Copenhagen.

You can check out my CV for further information about my slightly winding path through life.
